I have sent a message by circuitous route. I can only hope. My posted Email works as well. We have four decades to catch up on.
EUREKA IDEAS UNLIMITED

This blog has been up for more than a year. The intent was to generate dialogues about serious problems and ideas. It has been almost exclusively a monologue. I have not been looking for large numbers of participants.

I would be quite happy with a few dozen imaginative, creative, thoughtful and inventive people who wish to address serious problems and issues. If anyone has any ideas about how to attract such a talented group I will certainly pay attention. I am not as computer conversant as I would wish. Anyone who could help in this regard would find me receptive to sharing my skills in other areas.

Another Chilling Abridgement of Freedom

http://alternet.org/drugreporter/50948/

The story above is quite chilling. It should be food for thought for any person, no matter how reputable, that speaking freely on important issues is not without great risk.

But the eventual risk is even greater if we remain mute and allow unabridged power to grow without impediment.

Thanks for your comments. It is refreshing to see that there is someone else out there who can drag himself away from American Idol long enough to pay attention to our impending societal implosion.

As for my blog, I've been tinkering with it on and off again for several years. I had a fairly popular blog back in the early days of blogging, when I was in college, but have found it difficult to keep up now that I actually have to {gasp} work for a living. However, I have refused to let it die, as you have discovered.

I like your writing style and am interested in your choice of topic, so I'll definitely follow your posts and link to you from my (now largely unnoticed) musings.

However, if you, in turn, choose to follow my postings you may be forced to endure the occasional stack of jelly. It is fast becoming a bit of a tradition, and while I don't have all of my creations online, the waitresses at the cafe I frequent has taken to delivering several baskets of preserves to my table, prompting more elaborate structures. (Ha!)

Regardless, I wish you success in your endeavor and I continue to hold out hope that perhaps, collectively, we can still stop this proverbial train before it derails and kills us all.

On that cheerful thought, cheers.
